The Secret of a (Long Stabile Durable) Relationship

What actually the factors that make a couple could stand a long stable and durable relationship?

Is it compromising, selflessness act, understanding or maturity?

I still could not understand.

I have been puzzling about the question the past few days.

But I believe there is no panacea; there is no single effective formula that makes a relationship work.

I am just feeling envy with friends who can keep the relationship last for long and still going strong. Maybe they just got lucky with their personal relationship.

My relationship, just like other people, always starts with amazing butterfly feelings and ends up with a hopeless and pathetic situation involving a lot of tears and sadness.

My first relationship was so special that I could maintain a four years LDR with him. We always get back together, probably because I could not handle the feeling of losing him. But at particular point, everything has to end. We are just not meant to be together.

Then my other relationship was another on and off stuff until I decided to just extinguish the flame.

Experiencing broken heart feeling is not the most fantastic thing that someone should try again and again in his or her life.

So for the following one and half years, I tried to avoid the unnecessary broken heart by dating guys without any particular committed relationship (because that means there is no strong feeling involve).

Until few months ago, I start believing again that a relationship could actually work with the right guy. But I was wrong. It could not last for long, everything just went wrong.

And now everything returns back to the zero point where I start questioning myself again, why it never works out? Is it my fault that maybe I am not mature enough to handle a relationship?

I don’t know.

Perhaps WikiHow knows better than me to maintain a relationship: http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Relationship-Last

It was like making a journey without knowing where to go
